Sylvan Highlands
Sylvan-Highlands is a small geographically unique neighborhood, nestled in the trees of the West Hills. We are bordered by Washington Park to the East, Highway 26 to the south, Burnside to the North and Washington County on the West. As of 2016, we are around 500 households; a mix of small bungalows, family homes, large estates, condos and apartment buildings. We have a neighborhood school, Fire Station #16, a commercial zone of offices and convenience stores.
We are one of eleven neighborhoods supported by Neighbors West-Northwest. Neighbors West-Northwest is one of seven District Coalitions supporting Portland’s 94 neighborhoods. We are all under the umbrella of Civic Life, the Office of Community & Civic Life, a bureau of the City of Portland.
