Sylvan Highlands Neighborhood is making great strides forward. At the April 8th meeting, we’ll roll out a slate of candidates to serve as officers and board members for a two-year term ending May 31, 2027. See the full meeting agenda below.

We need neighborhood association members to attend the meeting and vote (sign up for membership for free, you must be a member to vote) for these selfless individuals who have offered to serve.
There are several unrepresented areas of the neighborhood. If you want to serve a two-year term until May 31, 2027, please get in touch with Sally Kneuven (sally.kneuven@acropolisbooks.com or 503-805-8268) before the April 8th membership meeting to get your name on the ballot.

Another highlight of the April meeting will be a presentation by Kim Kosmas, Senior Fire Inspector and Fire Fighter for Portland Fire Bureau. She will speak on fire prevention around the home. She’ll explain how to create defensible space to harden your home against wildfire. Kim will hand out postcards about scheduling a free home assessment by PFB.
Free graffiti cleanup kits will be available at the neighborhood meeting.
Meeting Details: The SHNA meeting will be purposeful and efficient. Parking is available at Fire Station 16 or directly across the street in the business parking lot. Refreshments will be served. Neighborhood meetings occur every other month. Make time for this one! We require a quorum to vote on our new board members and officers.
